Another of my amazingly serendipitous ‘Audible’ audiobook finds. Yes, it was in the ‘Plus Catalog’ & I was intrigued that it had won a Pulitzer. I wanted to see how good it was.
Well, I was NOT disappointed. It proved to be wonderfully rewarding. I can understand why & how it won a Pulitzer.
Tackles the perennially thorny issue of racism in the American south. She does it with a deft but incisive touch.
I will confess I had never heard of her or this book. But, I have already bought another of her books on Audible & have it in my library.
