My adoptive father, an insatiable lover of books (& a prolific writer himself) introduced me to ‘Jim Corbett’ when I was in my early teen (i.e., early 1960s). He gave me the Man Eaters of Kumaon” to read. I was beyond hooked. I was captivated. Over the years I read everything from Jim Corbett I could get my hands on. Though I have never hunted, Jim Corbett, for many years of my youth, had me fascinated about game hunting. I have never forgotten Jim.

The last picture above is my SMALL shelf of my v. favorite books. As you can see the “Man Eaters of Kumaon” is on that shelf.

Until yesterday, I had never heard of Kenneth Anderson. Of all places, I heard of him on a ‘steam train’ Facebook Group with many Indian contributors. There was a post about the railway station associated with Kenneth Anderson. I was intrigued. I had to do some immediate, spot research. WOW. I ordered one of his books today. I am dying to see how he compares to Jim.

I will, of course, keep you posed. Stay tuned.
