Both of these stories are close to home — i.e., New Hampshire!
Plus, as some of you know, I am very passionate about donating bodies to science. So to find out that you can’t even trust ‘Harvard Medical School‘ does not sit well.
I am not sure how the telephone scam worked, BUT I feel bad. Maybe it could even have happened to me.
NOT GOOD.
Things like this should not happen.

I was skeptical from the start. Just sounded too much like a ‘get-rich-quick’ scam.
So, will anyone get blamed? Charged? Prosecuted.

This was NOT acceptable. This was CRIMINAL. If this was winter, & I was on a rural road, I could have DIED!
VOLVO LIES!
This is NOT ‘Roadside Assistance’!
This is beyond a joke. It is a SCAM. It is CRIMINAL.
Do NOT BUY Volvo. Do NOT BUY Volvo.
Do NOT TRUST VOLVO. DO NOT TRUST VOLVO.
Contact me. I will give you the scoop. Save your life. Runaway from Volvo.
The SUPREME irony was that I was taking the car to the Dealership to have the navigation issue fixed AGAIN — for the 2nd time.
Couldn’t start the car. Said “Power Steering Failure. Stop Immediately“. Then it died.
Called the Dealership. Told me to call ‘Volvo Roadside Assistance‘. I did at 8:24am. See TXTs above.
3 tow companies did NOT show up.
They just could NOT find tow companies that would accept the job.
Yes, you guessed it. There rates were BAD. Didn’t even cover their gas!
I gave them the name of the tow company I use. That company turned them down — while I was on the line.
Finally at 11:30 they found ‘Barrett‘. He was excellent. I talked to him. He was very upfront. Said he will be there as soon as possible. He was hauling a small school bus from Boston to Laconia. He was going to come for me next. He said 1:30pm. He was 27 minutes lates, BUT that was OK. He TRIED. He saved the day.
Not so, Volvo.
They are TERRIBLE.
They did NOT care. Just did NOT CARE.
I could have been by the side of the road. 5.5 hours!
I have AAA Premier Membership. I nearly called them. I know that they would have had a tow truck here within 1 hour. They have never let me down, unlike Volvo.
That is all that Volvo does. Kick me in the teeth.
BE AWARE. BE VERY AWARE.
