Wow. Wow. WOW! This is so damn ingenious. Bravo. My hat off to them.

Random numbers. Yes, we don’t give them much thought.

But, we rely on them, like never before, for our Internet Security — ENCRYPTION.

Way back, 1971-1974, when I was doing my Computer Technology degree we had to write programs to generate random numbers. But, that was such a long time ago. We just generated short numbers. It was still early days of computing, & I will confess we, as young students, really had no idea why random numbers were that important. I, for one, had never heard of encryption, in today’s context, in those days.

This is so brilliant. Wonder who came up with it? Whether they patented it.

Wow. Humans are so damn clever.

This came up as an automatic YouTube recommendation for I, last night. YouTube AI is getting pretty damn smart too.

Wow. Wow. Wow! I am still in awe.

A few years back, c. 2019, I used to be a HUGE FAN of Amazfit. I thought they would go far. I flirted with Amazfit watches. See image above.

But, Amazfit ALWAYS dissapointed.

Accuracy sucked, especially step counts — the Holy Grail for I.

I still keep an eye on their watches. I will confess that I LOVE how they look. I would gladly wear one IF it were accurate. And that is the rub. I carefully studied the reviews of the T-Rex Pro. Accuracy was NOT great. So, I stayed clear.

Earlier this year, after a fair amount of research, I checked out a ‘TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra GPS‘. That proved to be a profound disappointment. It was GROSSLY inaccurate.

Yes, I have worked it out. The Chinese smartwatch makers are targeting the ‘unsophisticated masses’ who care more about price & looks than accuracy. And that has worked for them. They make nice looking watches & affordable prices — and the Asian crowd (e.g., Indians, Chinese, Vietnamese, etc., etc.) love them. But, NOT much good for folks like I who want accuracy.

So, I will keep an eye out for reviews on the T-Rex 2. I am surprised that they, i.e., Amazfit, did NOT get any reviews in place prior to today’s announcement. Hhhmmm.
