I have been a lifelong proponent of nuclear power. It is a CHEAP, efficient, ‘clean’ way to generate a LOT of energy — & I fully understands the issues of getting rid of the ‘waste’ and the small potential danger. The dangers have been OVERBLOWN. That is THE problem. Accidents do happen. That doesn’t mean that we should have abandoned nuclear.
IF we had continued with nuclear we would have the energy & climate issues we face now. Period.
Well, COUNTRIES and companies (like Google) have go around to appreciating that NUCLEAR — again — is the future.
So, I was so happy and excited to read Google move. Way to go Google. As a Google shareholder I am PROUD.
NUCLEAR POWER IS OUR FUTURE.
There can be no doubt or debate about this any longer. Thankfully countries are beginning to see sense — even in the U.S.
Fusion, the nuclear process that powers the sun, is the real way forward — down the road. Recreate the sun closer to earth. I am all in favor of ALL nuclear — but LOVE fusion.
My time on earth is now limited. I would LOVE to see fusion become a reality before I die. I somehow don’t think that will happen. But, this made me happy.
