My daughter needed to get an important document to a government agency by August 12, 2024. We were supposed to mail it back, but we didn’t have time. Much to my delight I saw that they had provided a fax option. It was 11:20pm last night. By law, we had at least 40 minutes to get it to them, by fax, and still be within the deadline.
I hate fax. I have always hated fax, though faxes were THE means of communication during most of my working career (though I am old enough that I started off in the era of Telex). E-mail is my preferred poison. Given my deep-seated distaste of faxes, I refuse to have any of my MANY printer/scanner/fax machines attached to a phoneline.
So, I was stuck last night.
I had used them, a few times, over the years — always with success.
So, I tried them at 11:30. They accepted my scanned 1 page PDF.
They sent it out within 10 minutes and sent me an e-mail saying it was delivered.
I do NOT trust fax delivery. That is ONE of my many gripes about fax.
Well this morning, sharp at 9am, I had a call from a very nice lady to say she got our fax — & just wanted to confirm my e-mail. WOW. It worked. We made the deadline — THANKS to faxZERO. I am so grateful.
THANK YOU, faxZero.
