In just over a month the once mighty, bestriding IBM — formed in 1911 — will NO LONGER be what it had been for so long, i.e., BIG BLUE.
It is going to get split into two: IBM & Kyndryl.
The new IBM part will do ALL the things that IBM did NOT do just 10-years ago!
IBM is trying to reinvent itself.
I, for one, don’t think it will work.
IBM will go the way of: Burroughs, CDC, DEC, Wang, Data General, etc. etc.
I blame it all on Ginni Rometty. She destroyed the company. She was so, so, so way out of her depth. If she had been a man she would have been fired two years into her reign. But, she was a female. First female CEO. So, they all stood around while she floundered & destroyed the company. Not right. Rather sad.
