It exceeded my expectations. I was pleasantly surprised as to how good it was. Well done. When, at the end, they show you ACTUAL pictures of Foreman from real-life next to shots from the movie you appreciate what a great job they have done in terms of casting & scene setting. Bravo.

I knew George Foreman a bit — about all the kids named ‘George’ & THE GRILL. I was familiar with SOME of his fights, BUT, by no means, ALL. I real was never that bigger a fan of his. Now, after watching this biopic, I realize that that was MY LOSS. I had no idea, whatsoever, about his PREACHING CAREER! Wow. Who would have thought — Foreman as a preacher.

From my early teens to my late 30s I was a BIG fan of HEAVYWEIGHT BOXING — & only heavyweight boxing. The lighter weight classes had no appeal. I was also an unashamed & totally-biased ‘Muhammad Ali’ zealot. I mainly followed boxing because of him. So, yes I followed & watched ‘The Rumble in the Jungle‘ — BUT I wanted Ali to win, which he did. While I knew quite a bit about ‘Angelo Dundee‘, I had, prior to this movie, NO IDEA, whatsoever, about Foreman’s equivalent “Charles ‘Doc’ Broadus“. I NEED to read up on him. Again, MY LOSS.

I enjoyed it. Learnt a lot. Well made. It was a pleasure.
