It was UNEXPECTED & a sure SHOCK to the system.

The weather forecast had talked about a wintery mix. No mention of PLOWABLE SNOW!

I woke up expecting slush & sleet. NOT 1″ on the ground. Plus, I was getting my ‘Volvo XC60‘ serviced & as such was under time constraints. I hadn’t even brought my shovels & snow pushers from our storage space about the garage. So, had to rush. BUT got it done in about 20 minutes. Down to the blacktop.

Temps did climb just above freezing. So, there was a little melting. It will probably freeze tonight.

Still early days. I did see an ‘official’ forecast predicting that our foliage here, i.e., Central New Hampshire, will not peak for another 2 weeks. Based on what I am seeing that could even be optimistic.

The stretch of road shown in the top picture is usually the first to turn color. Today it was mainly green.

I will, of course, as of today be keeping an even closer eye. Just wanted to share this with you.

This was during my daily 4.5-mile amble.

I saw the two adults (probably the parents) cross the road. Then I saw this LITTLE shape scramble after them. I thought it was a small bird. Then I realized that it must be a BABY turkey. WOW. Precious. It was little. Cute. Then I saw a second.

When I caught up with them there were three.

From what I have learnt from a quick Google is that the babies are called ‘Poults’ during the first month. I don’t know how old they are. Not big. Then I had to think of the size of an egg. Yep, makes sense. They can’t be too big.

A $12 String Bikini We Are Unlikely To See Much Of In Central New Hampshire — Despite The Price.

I lived waterfront on ‘Lake Winnipesaukee‘, our largest & most affluent lake, for 11-years. I still live close by, though I no longer (given my advanced age) go bikini hunting. But, I have a good idea as to what is in & what is out when it comes to Central New Hampshire beachwear — & I do spend time on a N.H. beach most days.

I think it is our latitude & innate puritanical conservatism. Folks aren’t given to flaunting their bodies much this far up north. Hence, my belief that this string bikini is unlikely to be big in this neck of the woods. Possibly down on ‘Hampton Beach’. But, that is a whole different world. A different story.

I, given that I saw it in the U.K. ‘Daily Mail‘, which I read, online, multiple times a day, I wanted to SHARE it with YOU — in case you hadn’t seen it. SMILE.
