What an incredible concert. To claim that it was a ‘tour de force‘ would be patently false. It was so, so much more than that. I am going to call it a ‘tour de tsunami‘ (& I am sure that that will bring a wry smile to the faces of Neil Berg & his exceptionally talented group. They were fantastic & the fans just adored this unstinted, uncompromised show. It sure rocked. Given that the previous three concerts were outstanding as well (as I have already raved) I am kind of embarrassed to even go here. This sure was good. Was it the best? (Smile. Well, I am the son of a career Ambassador. You work it out.)
I will readily confess that I had never heard of Neil Berg prior to this. My loss. Neil Berg is bloody brilliant. What a talent. And the group. Wow. Wow. WOW. It is now my old age. I felt so proud for THEIR PARENTS. To have produced such talent. Way to go.
It was the longest concert of the season & I would have loved for it to have gone on for another 2-hours. Time flew. I also think that we had the best weather conditions. Just Goldilocks. It was as close to perfection as you can ask for.
Given my vintage, this was my music. What I had grown up with. They picked the perfect blend. I hope we can have them back.
