Louis Epstein, maintains a detailed and unparalleledĀ Cardinalabili listĀ ā and has done so for decades. āCardinalabiliā, a play on āpapabiliā (i.e., pope contenders), is a term we use to refer to potential cardinals, i.e., those due or likely a cardinalate. There was a time, a decade ago, that I used to publishĀ Cardinalabili lists ā primarily Louisā ā on a regular basis.
I havenāt done so in years, and predicting Cardinalabili with Pope Francis is getting near impossible because he relishes not playing by the prior rules and traditions.
But, I asked Louis for this list because it is germane.

A LOT of work for ME! He doesn’t use SPACES. Just a long string of unbroken TEXT. He uses BSD. No graphics!
But, I, like YOU, are ALWAYS grateful. I don’t have the time, patience or inclination to keep track of all this stuff. He has this stuff, continuously, going back 30 odd years!
Louis, more than most, is acutely aware of Francis’ proclivities when it comes to creating cardinals. For years he was very proud of his ability to get 70% or more right ahead of each consistory. He has now given up. This is just an observation.
Hey, when does your BUDDY Njue turn 80? You MUST KNOW? Is he going to claim he only turns 80 on Dec. 32, 2024? LoL.
