I came across the term in a book I am listening to (viz. ‘A Matter of Justice: Inspector Ian Rutledge Mysteries‘ by ‘Charles Todd‘) on ‘Audible‘. I, of course, was familiar with the two words, independently but not in that compound form. Given the time I have lived in Europe there is a good chance I might even have seen a few. But, I did NOT know they were called ‘Tithe Barns’.
Big, open structures — to store collected tithes. Cool.
