STOP! STOP! STOP!

Don’t go on a rampage shooting, assaulting, harming or molesting any ASIANS.

It is NOT, I repeat ‘NOT’, Asian Flu. It is AVIAN FLU. A DEADLY flu specific to birds. Nothing to do with Asians. You got that? You sure?

Yes, we get Avian flu in bouts.

There was a previous U.S. outbreak in 2014-2015. So this is not the first time.

Yes, indubitably, there is SOME inflation in the current inflated prices having to do with increased transport, feedstuff & logistics costs.

But, much of the increase is due to the Avian flu. If not for that we would be paying in the $3 to $4 range.

In the summer, off that very shelf shown above, I was paying around $3.40.

A couple of years ago it was under $2!

The prices will, in time, come down once the flu dies down (though that is unfortunate wording).
