My current Garmin Epix GEN 2 with my latest data-rich Watch Face.
I am a shameless SUCKER for bright, colorful, high-resolution watch displays. I got AMOLED displays (on a ‘VENU’ (I think)) as soon as Garmin came up with it. That is why I went with the Epix GEN 2 — the AMOLED display.
I was going to wait until March/April to possibly get a Fenix 8. The ‘8’ is no great upgrade from my Epix — especially now I finally (after 4+ years) found some NEW data-rich watch faces.
But, when they bring out the microLED I will want it ASAP … Willing to sell a kidney to make that happen (though I don’t know how long it takes to sell a kidney … & I assume I will be bedridden for at least a couple of days (which doesn’t make me happy)).
OK. After saying that in my old age I can curb my worst base instincts & and I am a tad wiser. Given Garmin’s track-record the first release will be PLAGUED with BUGS! I have learnt this about Garmin to my costs. There was a time I was returning Garmin’s within days of getting them …
So, I will wait. Monitor the Forum. See what others are finding.
But, rest assured I will get a microLED Fenix 8. It was made for ME. SMILE. Wow. I am psyched.
