It was AMAZINGLY BRILLIANT. Wow. So much so that I am already checking the remaining tour dates to see IF I can see him again! Wow. Yes, WOW.
I will readily confess, I was apprehensive & to be honest dreading it. I thought he might disappoint. He exceeded any & all expectations.
It was a virtuoso performance. He has so, so much talent & a seasoned, consummate professional.
His guitar playing is still out of this world. Yes, (of course), I had a front row seat within spitting distance of him. So, I could watch his fingers closely. Wow. What talent.
Yes, he is a tad stiff, walks with a limp & could only do three songs standing up. But, that was OK. He was WONDERFUL.
Yes, I had seen him before — once — c. 1989, in Boston. Different then. He was 30+ years younger, had a full backing band … But, he was great.
He is such a raconteur. I remembered this from the prior concert. Last night it was 40% storytelling, the rest music. But, WHAT STORIES. All the folks he knew, played with and mess about.
He is A LEGEND.
So, glad I got to see him again.
I am in AWE. Thank YOU, Roger. YOU will always be MY MAN.
