‘Picture of the Day + 6 Others …‘ will continue, DAILY, on Facebook.
I just don’t have the time to spend 40 minutes a DAY just coxing hostgator.com + wordpress to display my posts with ALL the images.
It most likely is hostgator.com BUT I have for the last 2 weeks tried everything they suggested. Nothing works.
Took my 2 hours just to post the last two posts. Waste of my time. SORRY.
I wish this wasn’t the case.

As some of you know I am a news junkie. I LISTEN (during my ~2.5 hours of daily ambling) to a lot of news on BBC, CNN, CNBC, NPR & MSNBC.
During the last few days I have kept on hearing about this banana crisis. Finally today I decided to have a quick look. It appears to be real.
I love bananas. I used to eat one every day. But, I had to give them up when I became pre-diabetic. They spiked my sugar level. Damn. So, I no longer buy any. I used to buy at least 7 each week.
This is not good. I am concerned. Wow.
I Subscribed To ‘WPMU DEV’ ‘SMUSH PRO’ To Try & Optimize The Images On This Blog.

I continue to have troubles with all the IMAGES I post on this blog. ‘Hostgator.com‘, where I am hosted, just does not want to give me the server capacity though I have a ‘business plan‘. They suggested SMUSH.
So, I installed the PRO plugin yesterday, paid for it & got it started. I got 1-year for $36 — which was reasonable.
Yes, it appears I have a LOT of images, close to 16,000! Yep, that seems like a lot.
As you might have seen, as of today, I am setting out to MINIMIZE the images I have to upload to the Hostgator servers.
Let’s see how this works out. I am not holding my breath. Quite discouraging.

“Mi’kmaq” & Their “Mawiomi” (i.e., Pow Wow): My 1st Encounter, I Hope It Works Out.

No, NO, NOT my first pow wow by a long chalk. I am by now a pow wow veteran. This will be my 2nd this year. It will be my first exposure to the Mi’kmaq & I have NO IDEA what to expect. I hope it turns out to be GREAT.
Starting in 1981 I have spent a LOT of time with the ‘Navajo‘, in Arizona, on their lands. I love the Navajo. Yes, they have issues but they are a in the main gentle, kind, proud and honorable. I wish I could spend more time with them but Arizona is a bit far from home.
My encounters with Indians in these parts haven’t been as good. Yes, of course, I have met a SOME WONDERFUL, DELIGHTFUL soles. Folks I would be proud to call brothers. But, I have also had some bad, very bad experiences — with the ‘Passamaquoddy’. That is why I stay clear of ‘Eastport’ these days.
I am hoping the Mi’kmaq are more like the Navajo — though I have a feeling I will be disappointed. There aren’t that many pure, i.e., 100%, natives around here. Not so with Navajo. A much bigger NATION, spread across a bigger land.
Well, I am keeping fingers crossed. I will, of course, post. SMILE. I hope the Mawiomi will not make me sad.
