I Think Recent Whale Behavior Off The Coast Of New England Is Due To Climate Change.

Whales I encountered in Mass last year.

I don’t have the numbers but we sure seem to be seeing and hearing about more and more whales coming close to shore — into harbors — and, in the case above, doing some unusual things.

Maybe there are cycles. I don’t know. While I like whales, and seen a few, I am no expert on whales.

I just have a feeling that this could be due to climate change and the warmer waters. Something to keep an eye on.

Real glad that there were lots of boats around to rescue these two poor fishermen. It had to have been mighty scary. Hope they had good insurance.

Jesus (who was a Jew) wept.

This morning, a spokesman for the Israeli government, made this comparison on the ‘BBC‘ — i.e., that Netanyahu is Churchillian! That they both addressed the U.S. Congress does NOT make Netanyahu Churchillian. I found that comparison insulting.

For a start, I don’t think there were any protestors or riots when dear Winston visited the U.S. — or any other country for that matter. Irrespective of his politics, people liked him as a person — for his principals and moral fortitude. That alone is the unassailable difference.

Winston (of course) had many fobiles. But, nobody but nobody has ever accused him of being a criminal. Certainly never a war criminal. WINSTON WAS A HERO.

I am also not aware of Netanyahu winning any major war, let alone a Word War — though I am sure he can get us into one.

Please, don’t insult an incomparable, bona fide hero. The world needs heroes like Winston.

Offensive & Uncalled For Headline Invoking Elephant Abuse.

There was no reason, whatsoever, for this OFFENSIVE headline!

Shame on YOU (yet again), U.K. ‘Daily Mail’.

Any reference to elephants being mistreated, let alone abused is distressing to many of us.

Yes, I know elephants used to be badly mistreated by circuses — but, as far as I know, not so in the U.S. in at least the last 40 years. Folks would NOT have tolerated that.

We no longer (as far as I know) have any U.S. circuses with elephants. I am NOT totally happy about that. I have NO problem with performing elephants as long as they are well looked after. But, that is a different topic.

For now, please share MY outrage at this uncalled for, offensive, headline. Shame on YOU, Daily Mail.

I heard about this last week on ‘BBC‘. Yet another useful & intriguing thing I have learnt, of late, from listening to the BBC, daily, during my 2.5 hours of ambling.

I found it neat. Inexpensive and not too hard to do. Appears that it is catching on in the Mediterranean. That is good.

Not sure where we stand on this in the U.S.

I wanted to bring it to YOUR notice. Now I have. I am happy.

Green lights.

Yes, I am a well known news junkie. I watch a lot of news on TV and listen to a lot of news on ‘BBC‘, ‘CNN‘ & ‘CNBC‘ on ‘Sirius XM‘. During the last year I have been struck, DAILY, by how often I heard talking heads repeatedly saying ‘listen’ & ‘look’ — as FILLERS — when they are talking. It is so stupid. Makes them sound stupid. Plus it is rude.

You even have seasoned pros like ‘David Axelrod‘ doing it, not occasionally, but all the time.

It is an affectation. A nervous tick. A filler. Seeking time to get their thoughts in order.

I find it very annoying and distracting. I wish TV station would make an attempt to somehow stop this stupid practice.

I would have preferred to see him run for President. But, that is unlikely now.

But, I could really get behind him as VP. He will be GREAT. It will be so inspiring. It will get me, at a minimum, fired up.

Can you see him, on stage, with J.D. Vance.

Can you see Trump dare insult him. He will intimidate Trump.

I find golf even more insipid than watching paint dry. Never understood its appeal. Yes, as a teenager I tried it once — & will even confess that I even got some golf lessons (paid for by my adoptive parents). But as a lifelong avid cricketer, hitting a stationary ball had limited appeal. Luckily this is NOT a golf movie! It is all about discrimination based on your skin color. Set 70-years ago, BUT still topical & relevant. Worth watching.

Very well done. Very slick production. Good cast. Relatable. I enjoyed it. I recommend it.
