Did You Know That Facebook Has A Friends Limit Of 5,000?

Not a problem for I. That is a fact.

I have less than 25 Facebook friends. Yes, less than 25, and that is 22 MORE than the true friends I have (if that). I am cool with that. I am obnoxious.

I found out about this limit because I got a ‘friend request‘ over the weekend from musician ‘Bruce Marshall‘ who I had met, Saturday evening, at the amazing ‘Kalled Gallery‘. Despite my obnoxious, anti-social behavior I try not to offend folks by not accepting the very rare friend requests I get. This was the first in a longtime.

I was then blown away to be told, by Facebook, that Bruce already had 5,000 friends and I could not be friends with him. Wow.

I had to look it up. I thought it was a joke. Wow. It is true. Who knew. Not I.

Cardinal ‘Víctor Manuel Fernández’, Acting Pope, Should Announce A Cardinal-Creating Consistory For End Of September 2024.

Last cardinal-creating consistory, that I kind of thought would be Pope Francis’ last was 13-months ago.

Well, though keeping a low-profile and on his usual month-long siesta, Pope Francis, 87, is still nominally around. But, I am not sure how well he is doing. I suspect he is like Biden, a bit unsure as to what is happening around him, never mind the papacy. This is, however, ‘OK’. Pope Francis also has a ‘Jill Biden’ — in this case his compatriot Víctor Manuel Fernández. I am sure he is doing a good job keeping Francis propped up.

Summer, even in Italy, will be over in 6-weeks. They have to make a pretense that the Vatican is still functioning — even if on life-support. So, Victor should announce a cardinal-creating consistory for the end of September. The one-year anniversary of the last.

Barring any deaths, we will be down 15 electors by then. Given that nobody gives a monkey’s about the ‘120-limit‘, Victor might as well announce that he is creating (via the Pope) 20 new electors. That would make the Victor/Francis share of the electors 78%. That might be enough to make sure that the Next Pope will be a Francis II.

You, luckily, don’t see it, BUT it had become a daily struggle to maintain this blog.

Yes, I rely on a LOT of images. WordPress and HostGator don’t like that. So, I get punished. It takes multiple attempts to get a post POSTED with all the images! Yesterday was the last straw.

I don’t make any money from this blog. So, whether I have it or not has no financial implications. That makes it much easier.

I am old. It takes me longer and more effort to do anything. Spending an additional 15-minutes a post is precious time I can better use on other work. Hence the decision.

I will still continue to do my ‘Anura’s Picture of the Day + 6 Others’ DAILY. Already did today’s. PLEASE, PLEASE follow me on FaceBook.

Three Key FELLOW Indians Who Could Be Huge Rainmakers For ‘Harris 2024’.

These three, Indians all, are ‘Sundar Pichai’ (Google), ‘Satya Nadella’ (Microsoft) & ‘Arvind Krishna’ (IBM), between them control at least 95% of ‘the cloud‘ & with that huge influence when it comes to AI. They also have access to tremendous amounts of resources — including money & influence.

Yes, they all know that they are already been closely watched. Google, for a start, has been accused repeatedly of having anti-Republican bias. So, they can’t be overt or obvious. But, these are, supposedly some of the cleverest men around and they have scads of talented folks at their disposal. They should be able to work out how they could make a difference.

All three know, well enough, that they can’t be seen to be political — unlike ‘Elon Musk‘. I have a feeling that at least one could be a closet Republican. But, push comes to shove I suspect that all three will not be able to resist the pride of having a fellow Indian as President. That is the rub. How having an Indian as President will forever fundamentally change world dynamics.

I fully appreciate that these three have to be super, maybe ULTRA, careful. But, I am hoping that they can find some ways to be rainmakers given that they control the cloud!
