List of Publications

Here is a complete list of my 1st 253 publications.

My 1st real publication was in 1978 and you can still find it in
the U.S. Patent and Trademark database!
I invented the serial
number-based authorization scheme now used with software
installations.
So how come I am not rich? Because in 1978 we,
and that includes IBM, did not appreciate what it meant. This
was still a few years ahead of PCs and really before the advent
of commercial software on diskettes. But every time I have to
enter an authorization key when installing a piece of software
I wince realizing what I gave away! At least it is still on record.

When I became a self-employed consultant in June 1992 I set myself a goal of having 250 bona fide publications against my name -- not counting my books. By that time I had 65 publications. I got to 250 in January 1998.  I had 51 publications in 1993.

I obviously did not stop writing when I reached my goal. Just stopped keeping track. I know that I am now around 350.
